Why is the spark not working on my Riello?
Different transformer on a Riello. Was just at a Riello class on Wednesday taught by well-known Riello guru Joe Sacco. He had the electrodes pointing away from each other and the spark jumps the gap and won’t ground to the head or sides. The problem started when you removed the jack. So… 1. Too much air from air band open too far. 2.
What makes a Riello with delayed ignition fail?
Two parts most common to have failed, the ignition board (not putting out the required voltage) or the ignitor and cord (no visual signs of defect though). If that’s any help? On a riello with a buderus with delayed ignition I jack the pressure up and it fires every time.
What should I do if my Riello burner won’t fire?
The service call will include setting the burner with flue gas analysis and ensure your burner is running at its optimum efficiency. You could have the flame chamber & baffles cleaned before the technician arrives. Just let him inspect the chamber and all the seals/furnace boards beforehand.
How many volts does a Riello burner have?
You should really make sure that you have safe electrical isolation before stripping the burner. There is in excess of 10,000 volts at the HT leads and electrodes. There is lots that you will be unaware of the needs to thought of to carry out a safe repair.
