High Water Pressure If the water pressure in your shower is too high, the strong force can move through your shower head too quickly and make it squeal. Installing a water pressure regulator can control your pressure levels and help stop the squealing.

What should I do about my Mira sport Max shower?
The solution is to run the shower with the head off for 3-4 mins and the pipe hanging down to the floor. Start with the temp at full cold and slowly move it through to full hot. This they reckon will clear it. As I say I’m yet to try. as you say can also be a faulty flow valve.
