Why is my oil burner cutting out?
Obstructed airflow: Sometimes the reset button gets tripped because the furnace isn’t receiving enough airflow. Dirty flame sensor rod: Every now and then, the flame sensor rod gets dirty and shuts the furnace off. Make sure you wipe it off regularly. How do you Purge a Riello 40 boiler?
Turn off the main power and remove the air tube cover. Shine a light source on the photocell (now visible where the air tube cover was removed), return power to the burner and activate the burner. With the light source in place, the burner will operate in pre-purge only. When the pump is sufficiently purged, the hydraulic air shutter will open.
Can a Riello burner be replaced with a RDB?

Is the Riello control box compatable for all burners?
Think youll find not all Riello control boxes are compatable, you need to get correct box and photocell for that particular burner. Saw this just before the forum collapsed. Have you sorted yet? Usual problem is with photocell, but you swapped it.
When to change the solenoid on a Riello 40?
Change the solenoid again,it can only be 4 things if flames dies. Oil starvation, solenoid failing when hot,foto cell control box.I would plumb for oil starvation if been running for a few days,normally solenoid fail after 10/15 minutes after ignition
