Why is my heating working upstairs but not downstairs?
Because heat rises this warm area is likely to be the radiators upstairs in a house, or if you live in a flat it would most likely to be the radiator/s nearest the boiler or hot water tank. If your radiators are hot upstairs and cold downstairs it is most likely that your pump is not working correctly.
Can a radiant floor be used as a DHW heater?
The oddest application, in my opinion, is when a boiler is installed in a home to look after the heating load (usually radiant floor), with the DHW load handled by a separate dedicated DHW heater – either a traditional direct-fired tank-type or an on-demand heater.
Can a tankless water heater be used for DHW?
(Many of the tankless units for DHW have a maximum output temperature of 140°F, but those used for heating should have higher limits.) The economics of using a tankless water heater to supply both DHW and heating are also quite attractive.
Can a hot water heater work with no heating?
Hot water is working but heating is not .Room stat is OK, when I turn it up and down there is a clicking on ad off in the boiler cabinet . The pressure is within normal range, all radiators have been bled and the boiler will sometimes run for about 2 minutes and then switch off.No heat comes through to the rads.
Is there a warranty on a radiant heat water heater?
Add a few radiant heat floor controls to a water heater and the installed cost may quickly creep up to or even pass some heating boilers that include mixing valves and other economizer controls. Equipment life and warranty: A water heater used for radiant heating is not warranted at all by the companies we’ve surveyed.

Why does a hot water heater need to be at 70 degF?
In other words, the hotter the heating water you are circulating, the more efficiently heat is transferred into the living area. So dropping the temperature to 70 degF. may have helped the water heater life, but it probably increased the building heating cost still further.
