Why does the pilot light keep going out on my Aquamax?
The pilot light on this old Aquamax hot water service kept going out. A frustrating situation, especially when the shower is cold first thing on a winter’s morning! Brrrr… This is not uncommon for the Aquamax. Usually to get it going again the gas control valve and the thermocouple need to be changed.
Why is there no hot water in my Aquamax 205?
Our Aquamax 205 was gushing from the pressure relief valve. Replaced that now there’s hot water in the tank but the pilot light won’t stay lit and we get a max 20 seconds of hot water inside before it runs cold. Any help out there please?
Why does my Aquamax only get 18 MV?
Only get 18 MV after replacing the thermocouple tested in workshop and got 40mv with map gas I can only assume pilot flame is poor, I checked the pilot tube and nozzle and it was clear, but pilot flame still appeared low could it be a regulator issue can the pilot pressure be increased or do I need to replace the regulator ? Pilot light stays on.
How do you relight an Aquamax hot water heater?
You know it is on pilot, you can press it down that lets the gas through and then click an oppressor few times. Hold it for about 20 to 30 seconds. Let go, turn it to one and make sure the thermostat stand up and you can hear it fire up. It’s quite simple Aquamax or anything. If you have any problems call Service It Australia.
