Why does my EVAP purge make a sucking noise?
That could explain the sucking sound up front. If the purge valve opens to pull vapors out of the canister but theres no way for air to get in it could make a suction noise. With no codes stored I’m kinda hoping it’s just crap plugging up my vent hose.
Why does the purge solenoid make a sucking noise?
I’m wondering if the vent solenoid is stuck shut or the vent hose/filter is plugged. That could explain the sucking sound up front. Are there any dumb things in the purge?
First off, the entire concept behind this franchise is absolutely insane. From a sociological, political and psychological standpoint, it’s pure bonkers. Sure, it’s the jumping-off point that makes this thing tick, but it’s one hell of a leap of faith. In the context of this world, nothing really makes sense.
What happens if the purge valve is not working?
There are sensors which detect when the purge valve is working. But if there are no signals coming from the purge valve anymore, this will indicate to the sensors that the valve must be damaged. The sensors will then relay this information back to the engine control unit, which will result in the Check Engine warning being given to you.
What’s the best way to purge without making noise?
If I eat a shit load of bread, crackers, chips, or other things that clump up and are very not lquidy, THAT’S when I’m quiet. Too much water is loud and messy. Best thing to purge quietly, for the record, is ice cream. Comes out easy and without a sound. One other thing to keep in mind is the smell. I purged at work one time.
