When did glow worm fuelsaver Mk 2 boiler come out?

New to this forum, i have just movedinto my new house and there was junk left in the garage, the previous owner died and his son didnt want anything. I have found a boxed and covered in plastic brand new Glo-Worm Fuelsaver Mk2 boiler, with instructions and installation books.
Is the glow worm Mk 2 boiler legal in the UK?
Not worth a penny except scrap value as its a non HE boiler and cannot be legally installed in the UK any more. You may get a few quid for bits from it on e bay or gumtree but there of an age where people are replacing them when the go down rather than repair.
Which is more efficient glow worm fuelsaver or Baxi solo boiler?
Have a look at the link below, the quoted boiler is only 65% efficient which converts to 45 pence in every pound spent on gas is wasted, wheras if you look bown the page a Baxi Solo HE (Similar boiler) is 92% efficient thereby only eight pence lost in the pound.

2 days ago, the pilot light went out and would not re-light, so I have no hot water or heating, only hot water now with the immersion. I asked a local retired engineer to help me and he was for an hour or so, kindly checking it.
