Hi I have a steamist SM-46. I inherited it with the house a few years ago but it never produced steam only lit up I recently decided to open it up and take a look and it looks like it has a broken part on the back side of the tank . I’m assuming this is the entire problem ?

Why was there a problem with my steam generator?
Because of the time and trouble of ferrying steam generator reparts between countries and not wanting to have to repair the steam generator twice with months of delay, we brought all possible repair parts back to job. We replaced both the control cable and also the control board. That fixed the trouble.
