I don't know what ND means. All banks have different codes. Some banks check until the next deal and then issue na. Some banks do not stop until the check is fully cashed, especially on new accounts, which can take up to 5 business days for a local check. They should tell you if they have your money and if they don't, you will receive it in the mail immediately. It is always best to open a new account and ask when the funds will be available. There are so many bad checks in the new bank accounts that they gladly deposit checks in all the new accounts unless they are more comfortable.
