Airbus A330 - G-MLJL
Last Thomas Cook Airbus now at Aviationtag!
The Airbus A330-200 was delivered to British Airtours International Airways in June 1999 with the registration G-MLJL and the Manufacturer's Serial Number (MSN) 254. The plane was in service for the airline, which was renamed MyTravel Airways in 2002, for a total of eight years and flew to international destinations. In 2007, MyTravel merged with Thomas Cook Airlines and the entire fleet, which at the time consisted of 16 aircraft - including three A330-200s - was taken over. At the same time, the Swedish MyTravel Airways A/S was renamed Thomas Cook Airlines Scandinavia, for which our G-MLJL was also in service. In September 2012, Garuda Indonesia used the Airbus until Thomas Cook took it back in November 2012.
The A330 took off on its last flight from Orlando to Manchester on September 23, 2019. It was not only the last flight for our machine, but the last flight overall for Thomas Cook, which had to file for bankruptcy. This marked the end of an era after 178 years.
We are all the happier that we were able to salvage part of Thomas Cook history and in the form of a Aviationtagss
