Is there a way to pump water up a hill?
Depending of where your water source is located a ram pump may pump water up the hill. that plus a nice rain collection system might help. We can green the world through random acts of planting. In some sense, the answer is an obvious no, of course not. Water will not defy gravity and run uphill by itself.
What happens when water runs down a hill?
When water runs down the hill, it will be caught in the trench, then carried along inside the trench until it runs out at one end (if the slope is one direction) or out at both ends (if the slope is from the center out to either end).
What should the water pressure be in my house?
Many plumbing professionals suggest 50 psi as the ideal, which is also the default setting for most pressure regulators. Larger homes require a higher incoming pressure rating than small homes, as water will slow down slightly each time it encounters a bend in the pipes.
How does city water pressure affect your home?
For most city water supply systems the water quantity at a home is not limited, though in some areas of limited municipal water quantity, water may be provided by the city water mains only during certain hours of the day, or city water pressure may vary during some times of the day such as during periods of heavy usage.

What to do if your house starts to slope?
The trench continues around the house, and once the ground starts to slope away, the bottom of the trench gets shallower and shallower until it eventually breaks through to the surface. I’d put a perforated drain pipe in this trench and fill the trench with washed gravel about the size of walnuts or pecans.
