Is there a 1224 Moen faucet replacement cartridge?
The 1224 worked for my two handle Moen faucet. see less I am not familiar with particular bathroom sink models. I took my faucet apart and compared cartridges very carefully with the 1224 replacement picture. There are a limited number of similar cartridges.

How do you replace a Moen 2 handle?
The Moen 1224 2-Handle replacement cartridge is inserted into the valve by making sure the tab on the cartridge is properly aligned with the notch on the valve. Tighten the nut by hand and then use an adjustable wrench to secure it in place. Finish up by re-installing the handle.
How do you remove an old Moen cartridge?
You are now ready to remove the old cartridge. With pliers, grasp the cartridge stem and pull it directly up out of the valve assembly. Discard the old cartridge and insert the new cartridge into the valve assembly.
