Which is better the Rinnai builders B26 or the Infinity 26?
Just buy the Rinnai Builders B26. It’s excellent and has the same energy rating and gas usage as the Infinity and has equal hot water output capacities as the Rinnai Infinity 26. They both have the same 3 year parts and labour warranty which is the only warranty that is worth anything in my option. More info on this in the long review.

Due to the age of unit it is cheaper to totally replacement of the unit at which I have gone with a Rinnai builder’s series 26 60 degree unit with extended warranty for 15 years on heat exchanger and installation of 2 controllers to extend warranty to 5 years.
How much does it cost to change a Rinnai?

Can a Rinnai Infinity 26 be used for more than one shower?
Two units, mounted as close as possible to the most used area. Winter takes way too long for pipes and water to heatup, so having the units close to the outlets helps save you some time and water. I don’t think it makes a big difference in bills but you save previous water. Infinity 26 works okay for two showers but it won’t be enough for three.

Can you cut the flame out of a Rinnai Infinity?
There is a minimum flow though that the flames can be cut back to. As the units require the water flowing through the unit to keep the unit cool, if they are not able to reduce the flame height any more and the unit is getting hot (due to low amount of water flowing through) they will cut the flame out.
