My tankless water heater started making a horrible noise when activated. The noise is like the unit is about to shake off the wall. It’s mostly noise from vibration of the unit. It lasts several seconds at start-up, then quits. Any ideas?

Why does my Rinnai Water Heater have code 10?
Remove burner and inspect copper fins in heat exchanger for a build up between fins. This will cause air flow restrictions which can lead to code 10’s. If build up is present, you will need an air compressor capable of delivering 120 psi of air to blow out the burner and heat exchanger fins.

How old is the Rinnai infinity 20 shower tank?
Know better, choose better. Our B20 unit is 16 months old and it is satisfactory in all respects except for our shower. In a 3 or 4 minute shower it runs cold 2 or 3 times. The instruction book says to increase the hot water flow but it is already at near its maximum. It is very frustrating as out old tank system never caused a problem in 16 years.
