How do you fix a spraying spigot?

How do you fix a spraying spigot?

Good news, it’s easy to fix!

  1. Wrap the rag around the faucet aerator.
  2. Grip with your pliers and turn clockwise to loosen.
  3. Clear any loose debris or buildup from the faucet and screen.
  4. Then place the O-ring and screen in a bowl of vinegar, and let sit.
  5. Rinse off your aerator, screen, and O-ring, then re-assemble!

Can a sprayer be attached to a faucet?

If a sprayer is not attached, there is no leak. When I attach a sprayer and keep it on (let the water flow), no leak. When I release the trigger on the garden hose (close it off) there is a slight delay then spraying at the spigot. I’ve tried different hoses and same deal. I haven’t bought another sprayer to try yet though.

What happens when a hose is attached to a faucet?

If there is no hose connected, the water turns on and off as expected and there are no signs of leaks. When I attach a hose, the faucet leaks. Water flows through the hose as it should, but there is also a decent amount of water spraying out around the handle of the faucet.

Why does my faucet spray less when the spigot is open?

When the spigot is only slightly open, there is less spray at the spigot after closing off flow at the sprayer. What’s wrong and how can I fix it if it isn’t the sprayer?

Why is water coming out of my outdoor faucet?

Water flows through the hose as it should, but there is also a decent amount of water spraying out around the handle of the faucet. It seems to be spraying out around the gap between part 6 and 2 in the exploded parts drawing towards the bottom of the product link above.
