How do I reset my Riello RDB burner?
To reset the burner, press the button light on the burner. Wait for the burner to complete the entire start-up cycle again, up to the ignition of the flame. Before it starts pre-ventilation (pre-purging), the oil burner pre-heats the fuel oil for about 2 and half minutes.
Are there any problems with the Riello 40?
Problems with Riello 40 in order of likelyhood are Oil pump first, motor capacitor next, the control box & cell occasionally, the very odd burned out motor & most rare is solenoids ( unlike other solenoids ). That’s assuming you check all the obvious, including motor bearings.
Why was the Riello 40 G10 burner made?
In developing these burners, special attention was paid to reducing noise, to the ease of installation and adjustment, obtaining the smallest size possible to fit into any sort of boiler available on the market.
Why does my Riello 40 oil pump lock out?
I’m out”!! First point is, if it actually goes to lockout on control box, then it is a burner or oil issue, and not the stat. Going by what you say, I would check the oil pump as Riello 40s are normally reliable.
How can you tell if a Riello burner is faulty?
1. To check photocell, remove (disconnect) from control box. Re-fit control box and fire up burner. If it fires after 12 secs and then locks out after 5 secs, the photocell is faulty. 2. Check resistance of the solenoid coil; blue and brown wires (1.47 kohms) and blue and black wires (1.4 Ohms) readings should be within 10% of these figures.
