Funnel
It is sometimes referred to as a sales or conversion funnel. This idea represents the stages of the relationship between a potential customer and a company, from a potential customer to a buyer. The goal of most marketing campaigns is to get new people into the funnel and then move them through it.
Track every step people take toward a big conversion (like buying your product).
The funnel has six stages. Starting with people unfamiliar with your product or brand, the funnel looks like this:
Awareness → Consideration → Preference → Action → Loyalty → Protection
A marketing funnel helps you know exactly where your prospects are losing interest and what you can do to improve conversions.
As a marketer, you use different strategies and tools to help people move from one stage to the next. For example, those who are in the consciousness stage may not even know that there is a solution to their problem. You have to educate them.
Example:
Joe is a 31-year-old businessman who wants to eat healthy, but has no time to cook. He is unaware that his company provides gourmet ready meals. You need to tell them about your brand (such as content and ads).
Pam, on the other hand, is his regular customer. Now your goal is to turn them into ambassadors for your product. How? 'Or what? Offer them incentives to recommend your brand to 5 of their friends.
It is important to note that the funnel is not linear. Leads often enter the funnel in several stages, going back and skipping stages (some people will recommend your product without buying it!).
The funnel represents the different stages a lead goes through from initial contact with the company to when a potential customer becomes a buyer.
The process or journey of a potential user/customer/donor through stages or levels of interaction, from lack of awareness to increased awareness and trust, to buying, donating, or becoming a customer or user. The wide top of the funnel is where someone is less familiar with your business or services and less engaged; The lowest, narrowest part of the funnel represents the fewest people who know the organization, become fans of it, and become more involved. Marketing efforts are all about getting people down the funnel, with the understanding that not everyone is filtering down or down. You can use different marketing strategies and tactics at different stages of the funnel.
We often use the funnel image in marketing. It is a very useful tool to describe various marketing processes.
