Are there any recalls on navien tankless water heaters?
This recall involves only Navien condensing tankless water heaters and combination boilers with model numbers NPE-180A, NPE-180S and NCB-180E that have been or will be converted from using natural gas to propane gas. The recalled water heaters and combination boilers were manufactured between July 9, 2018 through October 14, 2018.
Is the navien np-240 propane unit a problem?
My propane 240 unit has been a problem virtually from the beginning. The system has a safety feature that won’t allow it to start unless at least 1/2 gal is flowing through it per minute. Not a problem on its face, but the way the unit tells how much water is passing through is by the use of a flow meter.

Why does my navien nr-240a heat box not fire?
That’s how it’s designed. Its modulation is there to mach varying gpm, not varying inlet temp (for the most part). The heat box is returning warm water to the inlet of the tankless which is something it doesn’t want; it wants cold water. If the water is too warm, or the flow is too low, the tankless won’t fire.
Is the navien heat box connected to the tap?
While the tap is off, the Heat Box calls for water again and the Navien kicks back in. -Turn Domestic water on again (after 15 second in line above) and the Navien does supply Hot water to the domestic tap just fine.
