Are there any issues with Delta shower valves?
Few months ago we installed 3 1700’s for a customer that were bought at home depot or something but the kits were complete with rough-in valves where as they come separate from trim kit at our supplier here. But 2 of them were missing the cups and springs. One was missing the temp control ring.
What’s the best way to replace a shower valve?
Turn off the water. Disassemble the shower handle, and remove the cartridge. Took the cartridge to the hardware, and found the proper replacement part with the help of a salesperson. There were several Moen options. Install the new cartridge following the written instructions that came with the part, and reassemble the shower handle.
Is the hot water in my Delta shower lukewarm?
Delta R10000-unbx valve & Delta T14294-CZ (single handle) trim kit. Since installation, flushing system and checking for leaks, I’ve closed it up & finished including shower glass. Dove into my first shower to find the water lukewarm at best.
What are the controls on a Delta shower?
The stem actually has two controls. The end of the stem (that which I could grab with my channel locks) controls temp. Then further down the cartridge is a control wheel that looks like a gear around the stem. You have to use the big handle for that and that controls the on and off.

What is part number for Delta Faucet cartridge assembly?
You need a new cartridge assembly, part number RP19804. You may notice that the new one will be blue and white while yours may be white.
